Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The highly anticipated reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has finally arrived! The official reveal is in less than 6 hours! So, what do we expect?

Pretty hyped for it too, still remember the good old days when MW3 came out. Will see how the reviews turn out after the release before jumping on the bandwagon.

Yeah same. I didn't buy the latest COD installment until a few months ago. But I did enjoy it more than most of their latest games. We'll see.

Same here, haven't played much of COD since Black Ops II back in 2012. GTA took my attention after that. But recently have been quite keen to get back in COD.

Earlier this week, some gamers panicked when the Xbox Store mentioned that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 would take up more than 300GB. However, Activision has since provided some relief.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will not have a 300GB install size. The mention of this in the Xbox Store turned out to be a mistake, accounting for an additional installation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and Warzone, including DLC and all different language options.

Activision did not specify how much space Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will actually require, but more information on this is expected to follow soon. It was emphasized that it will be possible to install only Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and that players will be able to choose which language options to install.

Woah that is somewhat of a relief indeed, 300GB for a game installation is just insane. Sooner or later we will need 10TB+ SSDs on our consoles to install games on. But I find it quite interesting that they did not mention the actual installation size of the game.

They probably don’t know it yet themselves.

They could give it an estimate, I mean I assume majority of the development would have been completed by now right. The release is in another 3~4 months, now would most probably be the bug squashing stages.

True but what if the estimation isn't the real outcome? Then gamers would give them a hard time again.

It will be hard to get exact estimations, but a ballpark figure wouldn't hurt. So us gamers can start planning storage space specially on consoles.

This is actually so sad and true that in 2024 we have this issue.
