Lollipop Chainsaw, back from the dead? That's right, although this isn't about a sequel. Instead, Dragami Games opted for a more modest initiative, as they will be renovating this title – originally made by Grasshopper Manufacture – with a remaster. We've known about this project for a while, but now they're finally ready to release concrete information about it. Recently, it was confirmed that the remaster will be available digitally for Xbox Series S | X, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC starting September 26, 2024. For physical copies, you'll have to wait a bit longer: until October, to be precise. The company will reveal more information about this soon.

Dragami Games describes Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP as the definitive version of the game. They kept the story the same and instead focused on additional content and various Quality-of-Life changes. The game will support sharper resolutions and significantly reduced load times. Moreover, the chainsaw has been sped up with the new Chained Hits Hunting system, allowing players to attack faster if they can string together multiple hits. The inputs for Combo Actions have also been adjusted, making them accessible from the start, while the Chainsaw Blaster has been improved with new optional toggles (auto-lock and auto-fire) and a larger ammunition capacity.

In addition to the Original Mode, there is also a RePOP Mode, which will use "unique and colorful pop art for damage effects." This edition of the game will also feature new chainsaws with different characteristics, new hair colors, and 30 costumes. Dragami Games has also expanded Juliet's Room with new features, and the last thing they mentioned is the inclusion of a Time Attack mode with a ranking system. We close with the very first trailer:

Seems like a fun version of Left4Dead never played the old version of this before. L4D was the first ever zombie game I played when I was young.
